Ourika valley is the most visited area in the Atlas Mountains as it is only an hour drive from Marrakech. This day trip to Ourika valley will be superb to see a valley that dotted with numerous Ighrman (villages) of adobe houses clinging to the mountainside and green, fertile orchards and fields. A veritable garden stretches out along the banks of the Assif (river) that winds its way between the mountains of the Atlas and Toubkal ranges. Lunching in one of the numerous little restaurants beside the Assif, on delicious tagines slow-cooked over wood fires, is a pure moment of pleasure. The expedition includes a hike for an hour to visit the waterfalls traditional Moroccan mint tea with inhabitants of the Ighrem.
