Program: Deep desert tour 4 days
Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi -n-Tichka – Kasbah Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate, Dades valley
We depart from Marrakech your Riad/hotel at 08h and travel over the stunning High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (alt 2260 m.) We stop to enjoy the breathtaking landscapes over the valley and view local Berber villages. In the afternoon we visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou and have lunch nearby. We drive to Ouarzazate, then to Dades valley passing by the famous Valley of the Roses, which bloom in April and May. We stop at our hotel for our lodging and dinner.
Day 2: Dades valley – Todra Gorges – Alnif – Ramlia
We start our day towards the famous gorges of Todra, one of the best destinations for rock climbing in Morocco, We will have some walk there before we continue crossing the Saghro mountain towards Alnif town, lunch will be there or later as a picnic in a very silent place in the shadow of acacia trees. We drive off-road for almost 3 hours in very desertic landscapes, camels in the way are an awesome sight in this dry sand environment where the dunes will surprise your eyes from time to time when they gather on one side of a mountain. As many guests say “we are in the middle of nowhere” when we reach our accommodation near a small village named Ramlila village.
Day 3: Ramliya – Merzouga dunes
After the breakfast that is prepared in the accommodation, we start our day driving off-road for more impressive views towards the big dunes of Merzouga. We reach Khamlia village where we can have “Berber Pizza” for lunch and explore the Gnaoua music made by an association there. Later on, the camel riding adventure will begin towards the camp sight in the middle of the dunes where u can enjoy an amazing sunset at the top of the dunes 250m. Dinner will be served under the starry sky of the Sahara, which makes it an amazing memory.
Day 4: Merzouga -the Atlas Mountains – Fes
On our last day Sahara tour, you can wake up early for the sunrise before you take a camelback to the hotel where you can have breakfast and a hot shower. We drive to Fez via the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing the fantastic Ziz Valley. We stop for lunch in a very impressive mountain city 1488m which is situated lower down Jbel Ayachi 3737 m. a big chance to observe Barbary Apes in the forest of Azro. Then We continue to Fes and arrive in the early evening.
