Program: 3 Days Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert
Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi – N – Tichka – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley
Our guides will pick you up from your riad in Marrakech and begin our desert tour to the Dades valley across the Tizi-n-Tichka Atlas pass (2260m.) From the pass, you’ll have incredible views across the High Atlas Mountains dotted with Berber villages. We continue to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou and explore the site with your guide. Afterward, we eat lunch close by before continuing on the road of a thousand Kasbahs to the Dades valley, where we will spend the first spend night.
Day 2: Dades valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga (Night in the desert)
In the morning you can take a short walk in the Dades valley before continuing to Erg Chebbi in the Sahara desert at Merzouga. Berber villages are scattered along the way as we visit the famous Todra Gorge, where we will stop for an hour to walk in these beautiful Moroccan canyons. Continue passing the villages of Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud to reach the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We take a break for tea before riding camels to the sand dunes to watch the sunset. Day 3:Merzouga –Draa valley- Atlas mountains – Marrakech
We wake early to watch the sunrise in the dunes, have breakfast, and then make our way back to Marrakech, we return on a slightly different path with the dry landscape of Saghro mountains, passing through Alnif, Tazarine, N’kob, and through the beautiful Valley of Draa, the main trading road of the old camel caravans, and lunch in Ouarzazate, Back by way of the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, we arrive in Marrakech in the early evening.
